概要
AlmaLinux 8.4 の標準の dnf リポジトリでは PHP 7.4 が提供されていますが、新しくサーバーを構築する際には最新バージョンの PHP をインストールしたいですね。
本稿では AlmaLinux 8.4 に PHP 8.0 を dnf でインストールする手順について解説します。
実際のコマンドも載せてます。
PHP導入の前提条件
OSのバージョン確認
OSのバージョンは、2021年11月現在で、AlmaLinux 8.4を利用します。バージョンを確認します。
cat /etc/redhat-release コマンドで確認します。
[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
AlmaLinux release 8.4 (Electric Cheetah)
[root@localhost ~]#
上記からAlmaLinux release 8.4であることが確認できました。
Apache httpdのバージョン確認
Apache httpd のバージョンを確認します。
httpd -V | head -n 1 コマンドで確認します。
[root@localhost ~]# httpd -V | head -n 1
Server version: Apache/2.4.37 (AlmaLinux)
[root@localhost ~]#
上記からApache httpdのバージョンが2.4.37 であることが確認できました。
PHPのインストール前の準備
デェフォルトPHPインストールの確認と削除
PHPに関するパッケージが無いことが確認できればOKです。
[root@localhost ~]# dnf list installed | grep php
[root@localhost ~]#
インストールされていれば下記のコマンドで削除してください。
dnf remove php*
remiレポジトリの追加
上記の公式サイト(rpms.remirepo.net)にあるRedhat enterprise linux 8用のremiを利用します。
dnf install https://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-8.rpm コマンドで実行します。
[root@localhost ~]# dnf install https://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-8.rpm

PHPの基本的な設定
PHPの場合、この状態でも動作しますが、基本的な設定を行うことをお勧めします。
本稿では運用するにあたって最低限、必要になる設定を行います。設定の前提は以下の通りです。
- 最低限のセキュリティ設定
- アップロードサイズの変更(2Mから20MBへ)
- タイムゾーンの設定
- マルチバイト対応(日本語対応)
PHP.iniの設定
php.iniの場所を確認します。
php -i | grep php.ini コマンドで確認します。

PHPの設定は/etc/以下にあるphp.iniファイルで行います。
php.iniの設定変更前に、既存のファイルをバックアップしておきます。
cp -p /etc/php.ini /etc/php.ini.org コマンドでコピーします。

バックアップの完了後、エディタで設定ファイルを開いて変更を行います。
本稿ではOSの標準的なエディタである、viエディタを利用しています。
vi /etc/php.ini コマンドで開きます。
PHPのセキュリティ設定
PHPはデフォルトの設定ではhttpヘッダーにバージョンを表示します。
バージョンは公開しないほうがセキュアになりますので、phpのバージョンを非表示にする設定を行います。
400行目を変更。
expose_php = On → expose_php = Off
アップロードサイズの変更
PHPのデフォルト設定ではアップロードできるファイルのサイズが2MBだと少ないため、20Mに変更します。
POST データの最大サイズを設定するpost_max_sizeを変更します。デフォルトでは8Mですが、これを20Mに変更します。
703行目を変更。
post_max_size = 8M → post_max_size = 20M
post_max_sizeの変更だけでは、ファイルのアップロード容量を増やせないため、併せてupload_max_filesizeを変更します。
855行目を変更。
upload_max_filesize = 2M → upload_max_filesize = 20M
タイムゾーンの設定
タイムゾーンの設定を行います。
アプリケーションが時間を扱う時にも運用環境に合わせて設定が行われていないと問題になります。
日本の場合は”Asia/Tokyo”になりますので、これをdate.timezoneとして設定を行います。
932行目のコメントアウトを外して変更。

マルチバイト対応(日本語対応)設定
以下の項目は日本語を利用するうえでの設定変更になります。
一般的な設定を紹介していますが、日本語の扱いは運用環境によって異なると思います。
動作するアプリケーションに応じて、適宜、変更してください。
まずはmbstringで使用される言語のデフォルト値を定義するmbstring.languageを設定します。
1504行目のコメントアウトを外す。
;mbstring.language = Japanese → mbstring.language = Japanese
続いて内部文字エンコーディングのデフォルト値を定義するmbstring.internal_encodingを設定します。
1511行目のコメントアウトを外しUTF-8を記載。

HTTP通信の時のインプット文字コードを指定するmbstring.http_inputを設定します。
1519行目のコメントアウトを外しUTF-8を記載。

HTTP 出力文字コードを指定するmbstring.http_outputを設定します。
passを指定して自動変換を行わないようにします。
1529行目のコメントアウトを外しpassを記載。

HTTP 入力変換を有効にするmbstring.encoding_translationをOnにします。
文字化けが発生した場合はOffにします。

ブラウザでのPHP動作確認
PHP 8.0が本当にインストールされたかを確認するため、インストールされている PHP の情報を表示する。
phpinfo 関数を実行する PHP ファイルを /var/www/html/info.php として作成します。
vi /var/www/html/info.php このコマンで開いて
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
を記入します。
httpd(apache)の再起動
systemctl restart httpd
ブラウザで下記のURLを記入して確認
http://<IPアドレス>/info.php
下記のように表示すればOKです。
まとめ
AlmaLinuxは、CentOS8と操作性が似ており、使いやすかったです。
CentOSの終了が近づいており、AlmaLinuxへ移行検討されている方の助けになればと思いました。
